Despite the title, this song is not actually exclusively about drugs of any kind, it's more about wanting to help someone you love whilst they are doing everything they can to push you away and how distressing that feeling can be.

This was the first song I ever recorded, and the first 'good' song I ever wrote. The noises at the beginning of the song are from a video game - sue me.

you could not resist the euphoric mist

you always seemed to say, it was your only escape
you didn't want to wait for me

I think about you every day now, while I fall asleep with strangers
but that can't fill the emptiness, it's just not the same
