the last part is sickness, the lump in my throat
the intoxication, I can't think I can't hurt
the calm before everything turns into scathing again
rolled pain into joints and smoked my love away
spat grief into bottles, I got sick of the taste
searched all my life just for something to waste
but the ache stays with me
the next part is running, the only way out
the pure trepidation, I practise my smile
but I can't convince anyone anything anyway
the worst part is knowing I wasted her time
